About Kathy

Kathleen Fulgione (Kathy) is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist in NY State.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in Dietetics at SUNY Oneonta in 1989.  She completed her Master's degree in Nutrition Science at Syracuse University in 1992.  
She received her 200 hour certification from a Yoga Alliance certified school in 2009. She completed the Institute for Functional Medicine Course:  Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice in September 2011.  She  is a certified First Line Therapy Practitioner through Metagenics.  She has also received advanced level training through Next Level Functional Nutrition.
 
Kathy has worked in many capacities as a Nutritionist/RD over the past 25 years:  as a Food Service Supervisor, a Clinical Dietitian, an Adjunct Professor, and in her private practice.  

She has enjoyed teaching yoga since 2009 and is very excited to have the opportunity to teach in a place she can accommodate more students.   
 
She has also volunteered much of her time in the field:  as President of the Westchester Rockland Dietetic Association (WRDA), as Hunger/Sustainable Food Systems Chairperson for WRDA, as a consultant to South Orangetown Central School District helping formulate their Wellness Policy, and has conducted nutrition workshops at her church.  One of her proud accomplishments is completing a marathon...26.2!
